Ksoap2 Library to android studio Error message, how to fix?

I an trying to import Ksoap2 library in android studio using .jar file version 3.6.4. I have successfully implemented the jar file to android studio. However, on the module app activity when I try to import e.g. import "org.ksoap2.SoapEnvelope;", it gets and error it shows following results:
Execution failed for task ':app:checkDebugAarMetadata'.
Could not resolve all files for configuration ':app:debugRuntimeClasspath'.
Could not find com.google.code.ksoap2-android:ksoap2-android:3.6.4.

There doesn't seem to be a 3.4.3 version of that library. There's a 3.4.0. And the newest is 3.6.4. You're going to need to use one of those. I'd move to 3.6.4 as 3.4.0 is over 5 years old, and likely lacks security updates.

Remove the dependencyResolutionManagement block from the setting.gradle file to have your project work the old way.
Related issue: Build was configured to prefer settings repositories over project repositories but repository 'maven' was added by build file 'build.gradle'

Error after adding Facebook login dependency in Android

I want to integrate my app with facebook login, but when adding below dependency and syncing Gradle:

I've searched a lot on google and StackOverflow and tested all the methods, but this problem doesn't fix. Please help me where is my problem.

First of all remove

from your app-level Gradle file when you have repositories set in your project-level Gradle file. This causes confusion.
Use implementation 'com.facebook.android:facebook-android-sdk:5.13.0' instead of your dependency.
You can always check Maven Centeral for the latest version of libraries.
or
Use Gradle, please, just enter the library name you need and copy the result (don't forget to replace compile with implementation)

I've tested some of Facebook SDK versions, suddenly in 4.26.0 version, my Gradle was successfully built.
I've checked the release note of Facebook SDK on the next version ( 4.27.0 ) and I find this:

+ Removes unused dimens from styles.xml
+ Removes files only used by internal tests

Anyway, with the following line, my problem was solved:
implementation 'com.facebook.android:facebook-android-sdk:4.26.0'
It's not good news for me to use about 3 years ago package, but at this point, I don't have any Idea.

Looks like you're pointing to a library that doesn't exist.
Replace your implementation.... with:
implementation 'com.facebook.android:facebook-login:[5,6)'

As Stated in this post, you need to add these two properties to gradle.properties file:
android.useAndroidX=true
android.enableJetifier=true

Android 3.3.0 update, ERROR: Cause: invalid type code: 68

After the new update of Android Studio (3.3.0) I'm getting error from Gradle sync saying "ERROR: Cause: invalid type code: 68". Even in project, that have been created before the update and hasn't changed at all.
I've tried to reinstall Android Studio, which hasn't helped either, so there has to be something incompatible with my project, but it doesn't say what and why.

I had the same problem. I was working on a project on two PCs: one at my office and one at home. In my office, after the AS 3.3 update, everything was fine but at home, after the same steps that I did at the office, the Error code 68 came out.
After a couple of hours, I figured out how to solve it.
Android Studio 3.3 has the " Only sync the active variant" option enabled by default in Settings>Experimental. Disabling this feature resolved the problem. But reactivating the feature the same error shows up, even after a successful Gradle sync. So I think this isn't a complete solution, but at least now I can work.

I had the same issu with IntelliJ 2019.1, Untick this option works for me.

Alter path JDK location to .....\Android Studio\jre

I got a similar message ("invalid type code: E5") and resolved it by first building from the command line, which revealed it was a Firebase libs version conflict, and then switching to use firebase-bom instead of manually specifying each version.

I had the same error (6C) during a LinkedIn Learning course, I managed to solve it through the following steps
Updating Kotlin in project-level build.gradle file
Update gradle build version in project-level build.gradle file.
Open Project Structure and using the Suggestions tab, update all modules to the latest version.
Update the compileSdkVersion & targetSdkVersion to latest.

Android Studio can't resolve jUnit 4.12 dependency

I am having a problem that seems to be quite popular on this plattform,
yet no answer seems to work for me. I am facing a similar problem to this:
Error:(23, 17) Failed to resolve: junit:junit:4.12
But none of the 43 answers are applicaple to my problem.
(I hope this won't be marked as duplicate)
I have tried importing the org.junit package to the test class manually, but it couldn't resolve it. I figured that the reason for this is that Gradle can't load the JUnit library, but I have no clue how to change that.
Even upon creating a new android studio project, I have problems setting up JUnit. Not even the example tests can be ran:

I have tried everything i can think of, including reconfiguring the dependencies, manually adding every repository i could think of (mavenCentral, jcenter...), checked my proxy settings and much more.

There was a problem with caching.
I fixed it by clicking on file -> Invalidate Caches and then restart

I resolved it by selecting Junit4 from Settings -> JunitGenerator -> Properties ->Default Template :

Android databinding tests fails in Module NoClassDefFoundError

I could not able to run the local unit tests in Module which is using android Data binding library.
First let me tell about the project structure how its configured.

the main "app" depends on "myLibrary" module. I have added one activity in "myLibrary" it supports databinding. I called module specific activity from main "app" activity on button click in it. it just works, could able to run the app.

I know it's too late to answer that question , But I say to friends who may face this problem.
Any time You used to dataBinding and at unit test faced with NoClassDefFoundError
first add this lines in build.gradle(Module)
testOptions {

then add this library to the dependencies at build.gradle(Module)
kaptTest("androidx.databinding:databinding-compiler:7.0.4")

I think this is a known issue which you can review here. I've been tracking this issue since February. Doesn't seem to be fixed yet.

added android.enableExperimentalFeatureDatabinding=true in gradle.properties . According to the name of this property, I think it could work for sometimes but not always, you can try.
