Component testing classes that use OptaPlanner

I have a component that, amongst other things, makes use of OptaPlanner. We use junit for component/integration testing and I am having trouble with bean creation when running tests.
When running my test I get the following error...

I use optaplanner-spring-boot-starter which normally created a SolveManager bean which is #Autowired'd into my classes, but not when run as a test.

This thread suggests manually creating the SolverManager bean in a configuration class but also warn off doing this...
What is the 'best' way of ensuring thsi ben is available in my integration tests?

When I take the spring school timetabling quickstart of optaplanner-quickstarts and add the SolverManager autowired field in this unit test, it works:

Also, there's test coverage for this in optaplanner repo itself, in org.optaplanner.spring.boot.autoconfigure.OptaPlannerAutoConfigurationTest#singletonSolverFactory.
Maybe in your case there's a problem with the generic types? Try autowiring without the generic types first. Let us know here if that was the problem.

I've looked over other people topics with this problem but nothing seemed to fix it.
I've also had the error: junit jupiter api not found, but I fixed it by Configuring Project Structure of Jupiter from "Test" to "Compile".

Unable to test Spring Boot Jersey Rest API using TestRestTemplate Jar Conflict

I have tried to check the this error and the almost all of them suggest (like this link and link,) that there are multiple version of a jars(http-client/http-core) in my application. I have checked and i did not find multiple version of SSLConnectionSocketFactory in my application. If at all there are conflicting jars, how can i know which are conflicting. I do not manually add the jar, its a maven project. I am stuck with this problem for the last 1 week and I am now at my wits end.

Quick check of your pom.xml shows that particular dependency org.owasp.esapi:esapi pulls old 3.1 version of httpclient in. Try adding exclusion section to this dependency as described below. If this does not help, work through dependency tree accordingly

Run the following command under your project root folder
mvn dependency:tree -Dincludes=commons-httpclient
That will print your project's maven dependency tree with all pulled transitive dependencies with artifact id commons-httpclient, for example:

Than you could determine what is the source of wrong version of httpclient coming in (for our example let it be org.owasp.esapi:esapi) and then you can exclude that transitive dependency implicitly by amending your pom.xml:

Please remove the older version of spring if you want to use a new version.
It is a very bad idea to have multiple versions of spring in one application.
You will spend hours and hours of wasting time for solving magical errors occurs with your application just because of two versions of spring jars.

I came across with the same issue and I used the Maven Dependency BOM. It works perfect. The ---Version---Number is the Spring Framework version you are using in your project.

Maven build throwing error could not resolve dependencies

So i'm a front end developer that has no prior java experience and currently working on a project that uses backbone on the front end but java on the back and in order to get started on this project they supplied me with a build in which i was instructed to run 'mvn -Psystem-setup' ..
All seems to be going how it should until it throws an error saying ..

Try to execute mvn clean install and see if that solves the problem.

This could be a network problem resulting into incorrect resolution or your local proxy glitches.
Try
mvn -Psystem-setup clean install -U
And if doesn't help, remove artifacts manually from a folder $HOME/.m2/repository/org.jboss, after this
mvn -Psystem-setup clean install

Seems like a network issue ... Make sure that you are not behind any firewall

You can try erase part of your .m2 library in your /home//.m2 or in window your user directory.
So maven can download again the jars
