How to load external configuration properties (DB Config) on Spring fat jar?

I am creating a service that runs automatically once the jar runs built with Spring. When the database configurations are written in the default application.properties, it can run normally and successfully done its tasks.
However, when I extract out the DB configs from there, and put them in app.properties which placed in the same folder as the fat jar, it returns this error:

This error pops when I execute the jar with the flag -Dspring.config.location=file:./app.properties, or when I put the spring.config.location and spring.config.name inside the default application.properties.
I ran the command to run jar with this:
java -jar .\fatjarapp-0.0.1-SNAPSHOT.jar -Dspring.config.location=file:./app.properties
How can I execute this with DB config on external properties file while running spring fat jar??

I have been able to resolve the execution with the flag -Dspring.config.location or --spring.config.location, but I am still curious whether if I put the spring.config.location and its path inside the default application.properties, it would work or not.

Previously, I did not expect whether the position of the spring flags needed to be placed before the jar filename, but it seems to be like that. In the Windows Powershell, I need to wrap the whole flag and its attribute with the doublequotes (") as well, so it turns to be:
java -jar "-Dspring.config.location=file:./app.properties" .\fatjarapp-0.0.1-SNAPSHOT.jar
And it runs normally and successfully as before.

Spring beans throw exception when starting the server

I am working on a project that is (I'd like to say "randomly", since it sometimes starts and after a restart of the server it throws exception apparently with no reason) giving problems about the bean conversion service.

It seems to not find the class, but the class is actually under project.formatter.DateFormatter

It gives the same error to other people who's working with me but they only need to do a maven clean to resolve the issue, for me is not working this method.
I do a clean, then restart the server and I got the same error, the only way is to re-do a checkout from the svn, it works for a while and then it starts to give me this problem again.
I am not working on that class, I neither edit the springmvc-config.xml
I do not know how to look to solve this problem.
I checked the springmvc-config, the web.xml, where else should I look to try to fix this problem?

EDIT:
It seems to give errors with every other bean. I commented the conversionService bean, it gives no more exception on that and throws exception on the bean dataSource, commented such that bean, it sends error on the spring-security beans. I don't think due to dependencies on such those beans, where should I lokk? It worked everything great up to two days ago, and no changes have been made on the configuration of the project, now I try to checkout the package on a VM.
EDIT2:
It doesn't work neither on the VM. I am not able to understand why such a problem. I also tried to delete the project and re-check it out, but it is not still working, same problem.
If any of you can suggest me how to look it would be great, not any other people in my team is having this problem.

Make Sure Following.
1) FormattingConversionServiceFactoryBean.java must have property with name formatters of type project.formatter.DateFormatter.
2) Rebuild your project and then redeploy to the server.
Note: java.lang.ClassNotFoundException only occurs when there is no yourClass.class found by the server.

I solved removing the resource from server, doing a clean on the server, then a clean on the project, I rebuilt it and redeployed it on the server.
I can still not guess why all those problems.

spring boot error - Caused by: java.lang.IllegalStateException: Could not configure JTA platform

**I am using Java 6/Spring Framework 4.1.4/Spring Boot v1.2.1.RELEASE and Hibernate 3.5.
Since I am on Java6, I use embedded Tomcat 7.0.59
Why is it trying JTA (or how can I suppress the ComponentScan)?
What does this error mean and how to resolve it?
I have tried to use individual annotations instead of SpringBootApplication and have same error.
I am trying to use Spring boot to create a service and then use the Import Resource to load the HB connections etc.**

Spring Boot does not support Hibernate 3.5.
Minimum required version is Hibernate 4.2.
You can work around that by completely disabling the auto configuration for Hibernate:

If you do deploy your service as an executable JAR with embedded Tomcat, there is no reason to use such an old Hibernate version, so you should use the one which Spring Boot defines.

The exception was because of spring jpa. I removed spring-jpa dependency from pom.xml and it solved my problem. Thanks all for help and quick response.

I suspect the line that states:
spring.datasource.driverClassName=com.mongodb.Mongo
is wrong - this looks like a JDBC driver, but as MongoDB is a NoSQL database its driver doesn't conform to the same standards.
The spring documentation suggests the following properties for MongoDB:
spring.data.mongodb.host= # the db host
spring.data.mongodb.port=27017 # the connection port (defaults to 27107)
spring.data.mongodb.uri=mongodb://localhost/test # connection URL

I removed the <version> tag in POM file, the problem fixed

I have added the following dependency
JDBC dependency
spring-jpa dependency
my issue was resolved when I removed both the dependency
