Ant - javac task - classpath is not taking the jars

I have my ant build.xml file like this:

When I type ant command in cmd prompt the compiling happens but the jar files are not loading so I am getting compiling errors. The jar folder that i have mentioned in the above code has only one jar file which is "testng-6.8.5.jar". Please let me know what is wrong in the above code.

You're closing the <javac> tag on the same line, it should be:

Excluding files from ant build in javadocs

now my src folder has files known as input1.txt, input2.txt, input3.txt, and when im generating docs, i get this error:
[javadoc] javadoc: error - Illegal package name: blablabla/input1.txt
I tried using the excludes command but it says javadoc doesn't support that. Is there a way i can exclude files with a .txt ending from being trying to made javadocs off of?
I am pretty new to ant so any help is appreciated :)

You can use the excludes attribute in <fileset> or several <exclude name="..." /> nested in <fileset> to exclude certain files from the fileset that will be sent to javadoc.

How to include local dependencies in my ant build

Now I included log4j as a local dependency and want to include it when I create my .war file. However, ANT is not able to find the dependency. Is there a way to get it working? Sorry for the basic question, I am a noob at it.

Now ANT can find the dependencies and compile it. However when I deploy it to a Tomcat server, it fails to file the dependencies. Can you please provide some ideas as to how I can package the dependencies so its visible to Tomcat as well?

You should use the war task instead:

You can configure it to find the dependency jars to be included in your war file and to specify the path to the web.xml folder. You shouldn't be coping the .class files to the destination in the war folder, let the war task do it for you.

using ANT to automatic run JUNIT cases, setting up dependencies

I have the following setup for my application:
The project TestAll currently contain a java file that run all the TestAll javafiles in all my other projects and this works as expected. The problem im facing is that I want this TestAll.java to be run from a ant script and have it record the result in a report file. This javafile is dependent on all the other projects in my application.
This is what I have so far:

And the errors im getting is:

This is most likley a classpath error where ANT in unable to find the files it needs, but I have no idea how to resolve it and have been trying for almost a full day. Any help is appreciated

The classpath provided to the javac task is: the junit jar, the build directory and the current directory.
Unless the current directory (where build.xml is located) is se, the javac task won't be able to find any java files to compile them.
Given that, the classpath for the javac task will need to include a path to each se directory in each project.
Edit:
Note: Unless you're planning on packaging the tests with the rest of the code, you should have two javac tasks that build to a build directory and a test build directory, then provide a path to each of those to junit so it can run the tests, but provide only the build directory path to the jar task.

Java applet, add jar files to the manifest file

I am doing some thing obvious wrong. I have a simple applet which needs to upload files to server. I have written an ant script to build the jar file. However, the manifest.mf has class-path split into multiple lines.

Check the value of ${jar.classpath}. It seems its value itself is in multiple lines.

Does it not work? It's a bit odd that there are big spaces between each classpath entry but it looks valid.
The manifest specification states that lines must be no longer than 72 bytes and that longer lines should be split and continued on the next line with a leading space.
