Forge MDK 1.15.2 crashes when executing runClient.launch [duplicate] - java

Recently I have been setting up a Minecraft Forge workspace on eclipse. I have created minecraft mods with forge in the past (MC1.6.4 and such) although a lot has changed since then. I am trying to mod using Forge1.15.2-31.1.0 mdk AND JDK 1.8.0_241
I created a RunClient.bat file in my workspace folder to compile and build my project
it fully builds and compiles to 98% and then crashes. This is my crash report:

In Java 8, ByteBuffer.rewind() returns a Buffer, but in Java 13, it returns a ByteBuffer. Your first crash report indicates that you compiled against Java 13 but ran against Java 8, which doesn't work. Your second crash report is because Forge still doesn't support running on Java 13 yet. To fix your problem, clear all of your build caches and recompile with the Java 8 compiler. Once you do that, you'll be able to run with Java 8.

After uplift from Spring Boot 2.1.7 to 2.2.0 application does not start due to a FailureAnalyzer

I am working on a Spring Boot based project and so far I was using 2.1.7. As I started with HateOas part, I decided to sit on newer HATEOAS 1.0 and so I uplifted my application so Spring Boot 2.2.0.
The only changes I did on my application are:
Change the version of Spring Boot in the application's parent pom (Spring Boot is the parent)
Adapt to the changes in HATEOAS 1.0 by running the script provided by the hateoas team.
After that all build problems were gone, but then I could no longer have my application started again, since it fails because a certain jdbc class is NOT in the classpath:

Using mock-maker-inline Mockito plugin on IBM JVM 1.8

I'm trying to mock a static method of a final class : Files.exist by example.
I read that I have to user a mock-maker-inline mockito plugin so I set it up :
I put this :
mock-maker-inline
in : src/test/resources/mockito-extensions/org.mockito.plugins.MockMaker
and then I mocked my class and try to verify that my mock is called :
#PrepareForTest(Files.class)
#RunWith(PowerMockRunner.class)
public class StaticFinalMethodTests
{
#InjectMocks
private FileManipulationClass fileManipulationClass;
#Before
public void setUp()
{
PowerMockito.mockStatic(Files.class);
}
#Test
public void fileManipulationTest() throws IOException
{
Mockito.when(Files.exists(Mockito.nullable(Path.class))).thenReturn(false);
Files.exists(getDummyPath());
PowerMockito.verifyStatic(Files.class);
Files.exists(getDummyPath());
}
private Path getDummyPath()
{
return Paths.get("/dummy/path");
}
}
And I have this exception :
java.lang.IllegalStateException: Could not initialize plugin: interface org.mockito.plugins.MockMaker

i used power-mockito 2.0.0 with mockito 2.7.22
is there something I can do?
Never too late to answer an open question...
I had the same issue using an IBM JDK 8.

So, I can't explain the reason nor origin, but I decided to not use anymore IBM JDK and instead of it, I downloaded and configured a JDK Oracle version 1.8.0_291.
After that, the exception and bug were removed.

Cannot contact : java.nio.channels.ClosedByInterruptException while using GeckoDriver and Firefox

I'm running tests using:
Selenium 3.11
Geckodriver v0.20.1
TestNG 6.9.8
Firefox 57 on Linux OS
I have 10 suites with 10-30 classes in each. Total duration time is about 16 hours. Webdriver gets created in beforeClass and get's quit in afterClass (using driver.quit()).
When I run tests using Chrome Driver, everything is okay and all the suites are executed completely.
But if I switch the driver to Firefox driver, only 3-4, or 5 suites are executed, and then I receive the following error:
Cannot contact : java.nio.channels.ClosedByInterruptException
Can't take a screenshot: java.net.ConnectException: Failed to connect to localhost/0:0:0:0:0:0:0:1:14191
It appears in different steps and actions, the test just goes regularly and then
this error appear:

I added memory info output but seems like there are still enough resources for JVM:
OS: Linux

Free memory in JVM: 1,257.568 Mb
Used memory in JVM: 991.932 Mb
Max memory the JVM could reach: 3,250 Mb
Total free memory: 2,258.068 Mb

My question is: where to look for and what to add to debug info to investigate the reason of this happening?
This error message...
Cannot contact : java.nio.channels.ClosedByInterruptException
Can't take a screenshot: java.net.ConnectException: Failed to connect to localhost/0:0:0:0:0:0:0:1:14191
...implies that a checked exception was received by a thread when another thread interrupted it while it was blocked in an I/O operation upon a channel.
ClosedByInterruptException Class
ClosedByInterruptException is a checked exception which is raised when a thread interrupts another thread while it is busy/blocked in an I/O operation upon a channel. Before this exception is thrown the channel must have been closed.
It is worth to mention that, channel operations are pretty much bound to the thread doing the I/O operations. If this thread is interrupted the stream or the channel is closed due to IO safety issues.
Your code trials would have given us some more hints about what's going wrong but from the error stack trace it is evident one of the major issue is the incompatibility between the version of the binaries you are using as follows:
Though you are using Selenium v3.11.0 but your JDK seems to be v1.8.0_45 which is pretty older.
Solution
Upgrade JDK to recent levels JDK 8u171.
Upgrade Selenium to current levels Version 3.12.0.
Upgrade GeckoDriver to GeckoDriver v0.20.1 level.
Ensure GeckoDriver is present in the specified location.
GeckoDriver is having executable permission for non-root users.
Upgrade Firefox version to Firefox v60.0.1 levels.
Clean your Project Workspace through your IDE and Rebuild your project with required dependencies only.
Use CCleaner tool to wipe off all the OS chores before and after the execution of your Test Suite.
If your base Web Client version is too old, then uninstall it through Revo Uninstaller and install a recent GA and released version of Web Client.
Take a System Reboot.
Execute your Test as a non-root user.
Always invoke driver.quit() within tearDown(){} method to close & destroy the WebDriver and Web Client instances gracefully.
trivia
If the AUT (Application Under Test) is a multi-threaded application, you should look for interrupt() calls that might interrupt the thread doing the IO operations on the channel. If it is a web-application or some other kind of managed environment, where thread management isn't up to your application (like a Servlet / EJB Container), you should look for thread-safety violations. Another place to look is when the application is shutting down or when thread pooling is used (Servlet/EJB Container!). Then be aware of dynamic management of the pool size!

Why Gradle build fail with java8?

We have Gradle script it is building multiple projects with different sourceCompatibility and targetCompatibility. If my environment variables JAVA_HOME set to jdk7 all the projects are building successfully. Then I changed the JAVA_HOME to jdk8. Now build fail with below errors:

Could you please tel me how to fix this issue with java8?
You may need to play around with your version of JaCoCo and/or ASM according to this. It's a known issue going back to about 2013. Go to the maven search site, find the latest versions and push your test dependencies to the latest available ones and see if that fixes it.
