I am getting the following error -

Cant find what this error is exactly about.
I am using Grails 4.0.8 in Windows 10 with gradle build with Java 11.
This error comes up during runtime.
Also, I am using Interceptors in grails if that helps
I am using a ton of dependencies which include Jboss dependencies, spring, hibernate,jms,axis etc.
Using intelliJ, i checked that all the beans are being assigned properly
eg : def someService

Access to DialectResolutionInfo cannot be null when ‘hibernate.dialect’ not set

Spring 4.3.4 hibernate 5.1.15
As part of hibernate from 3 to 5.1.15, I came across this error.
The normal application starts works but if I run DBTest with the same setting, it isn't working.
I have quiet a few issues on similar lines but I am very clean on what could be the issue
I tried different ways of configuration from hibernate end.

I am using spring-core (Don't have explicit spring boot in the application).
While searching for a similar issue, I came across "Hibernate can determine the correct dialect to use automatically, but in order to do this, it needs a live connection to the database". I have injected data source bean not sure why session factory isn't taking it?
I am extending LocalSessionFactoryBean, should i be extending something else?
What is the best place to explicitly set config with the property? config.setProperty(HIBERNATE_DIALECT_KEY, getDialect());

The issue was due to the way i was using overriding getMetadataSources.
When i override LocalSessionFactoryBean i am getting this issue.

That means that you are going to use incompatible versions.
The spring-security-messaging depends on the spring-security-web.
You should use the same Spring Security version for all its dependencies:

DialectResolutionInfo cannot be null when 'hibernate.dialect' not set - PlayFramework

I am using java-play-spring template (obtainable here: https://github.com/jamesward/play-java-spring#master )and currently I am trying to switch from the default hibernate db drivers to mysql ones.
I have added an entry to build.sbt:

Then I opened application.conf and changed from

Solved it by myself, I just modified dataSource configuration like below:

Wasn't that hard after all, leaving it for future Play newbs.

Spring: Map of beans, trying to inject dependency in the another bean, getting null pointer

I am trying to create the map of the beans in the spring by the following piece of configuration.
<util:map id="utilBeansMap" map-class="java.util.HashMap">
<entry key="getFlightsLogger">
<bean
class="com.test.package.bean1" />
</entry>
<entry key="getOnDLogger">
<bean
class="com.test.package.bean2" />
</entry>
</util:map>
And then injecting this Map as a Resource in another bean (say UserSerice) using

But I am getting null pointer when I am trying to get bean from this map.
I looked at the logs. Logs shows that this map bean get initialized, but by the time when UserService starts initiating this map bean is already destroyed.

So it seems like you think Spring can inject
#Resource(name = "utilBeansMap")
private Map<String, BaseUtilBean> utilBeansMap;
before it actually creates the object.
That's not how it works. Spring creates the instance through reflection, then, again through reflection, finds the #Resource target field and sets it. If you need to do initialization with your injected field, use a #PostConstructannotated method.
Any method (there are rules for the method definition) annotated with #PostConstruct will be called after the container is finished initializing the bean. If you had a constructor like
public MyClass() {
BaseUtilBean bean = utilBeansMap.get("theKey");
// do something with bean
}
this wouldn't work because utilBeansMap would be null. Instead, you could refactor to
public MyClass() {
// do stuff you know doesn't use injected fields
}
#PostConstruct
public void init() {
BaseUtilBean bean = utilBeansMap.get("theKey");
// do something with bean
}
Spring will instantiate your bean, inject the fields, and then call init().
