cannot start cas-overlay-template on windows - missing \etc\cas\thekeystore

I am trying to run https://github.com/apereo/cas-overlay-template on Windows 11 and JDK 11 (Eclipse Adoptium 11.0.16.1), using the 6.5 branch. I have ran the "createKeystore" and "copyCasConfiguration" gradle tasks using gradlew.bat, and it created the files below:

when I tried to run "gradlew.bat run", it hit the following error:

I believe this is due to Gradle thinking its running inside a Unix environment instead of a Windows one. Any changes I make to the c:/etc/cas/config/cas.properties file is ignored, which makes me believe that its looking elsewhere for the cas folder (not c:/etc/cas). Anyone got any ideas?

You can change the keystore location in spring config. You can pass the property either in cas.properties or with command line flags or ENV. Two examples:
Example: absolute windwos path
server.ssl.key-store=D:/dev/cas/etc/theKeystore.jks
Example: relative path
server.ssl.key-store=file:etc/cas/thekeystore
By the way, you can also change the location of the cas.properties file with the cas.standalone.configurationDirectory parameter. This is how I usually work in a local environment on Windows:
java -jar build/libs/cas.war --cas.standalone.configurationDirectory=etc/cas/config --debug

CAS server logs are the best resource for determining the root cause of the problem, provided you have configured the appropriate log levels. Specifically you want to make sure DEBUG levels are turned on the org.apereo package in the log configuration
You could consider moving the configuration inside the CAS build itself in an application.yml file, instead of keeping it outside.

Try switching from tomcat to jetty as an embedded servlet server. It seems to have better windows support, and properly looks for c:\etc\cas\thekeystore.
To do that just replace -tomcat with -jetty as appServer in the gradle.properties file.
There might be a way to teach tomcat to look at the right place, but I didn't found it. The server.ssl.key-store setting didn't had any effect.

I am new to Java and trying around. Now I would like to learn about network - server client communications. Long story short I found jars on github which should make the start easier. I do not have any idea what am I doing wrong, the jar should work otherwise it should not be there for download I guess. But the error comes from one of the jar classes called Server:

NoClassDefFoundError: Appears on runtime in sbt multi-project, The error appear when I hit any URL after running my project

I am working on a multi-sbt project, which has projects like invoices-and-orders, order-dtos.
We use internally made libraries in our organization.
The error appears at runtime after I hit any resource, I have researched a bit on how classLoader, etc work in loading classes at runtime in java, but I don't understand the root cause of this issue.

jenkins executor not building MasterToSlaveCallable

Trying to build a project in Jenkins
Some misconfiguration or something that has been broken , and cannot understand what.
The builds get executed but no command is printed on the Console Output.

A NoClassDefFoundError indicates a likely incompatibility between a Jenkins plugin and either another plugin or Jenkins core. I would double-check the versions of core and your plugins on the Jenkins management page to make sure you're not running any incompatible versions.

I followed the technote https://www-304.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg21515079 - "An exception occurs on 64-bit WebSphere servers when running reports from ClearQuest data sources that require the Java Native Interface (JNI).
As suggested, WAS 32-bit was installed instead on 64 bit. But the error still occurs. Can you please let me know where this library is or what is going wrong?

The ClearQuest libraries and jars need to be placed on the path so WebSphere can pick them up. Did you source cq_setup.csh prior to starting the WebSphere profile? You would need to source cq_setup.csh and then start the profile in the same shell.
