verify does not execute in Mockito - java

I get error :
Wanted but not invoked:
iReimbursementDAO.update(
Reimbursement{id=2, status=Pending, author=User{id=1, username='genericEmployee1', password='genericPassword', f_name null', l_name null', email null', role=Employee}, resolver=null, amount=150.0, description null,creation null, resolution null, receipt null}
);

Actually, there were zero interactions with this mock.
I followed steps from answer to previous post and got my test succeed for a different class. Now I tried the same steps in a second class as shown below and the test fails in one place.

}

You are told what the error is: Wanted but not invoked - You WANTED to have dao.update invoked, but you didn't invoke it. "Actually, there were zero interactions with this mock." exactly, so why are you verifying that the update is called?
Remove this from the test verify(reimbursementDAO).update(REIMBURSEMENT_TO_PROCESS);

Mockito doAnswer()

Can I somehow use doAnswer() when an exception is thrown?
I'm using this in my integration test to get method invocations and the test in configured the #RabbitListenerTest...
#RunWith(SpringRunner.class)
#SpringBootTest
public class MyIT {
#Autowired
private RabbitTemplate rabbitTemplate;
#Autowired
private MyRabbitListener myRabbitListener;
#Autowired
private RabbitListenerTestHarness harness;
#Test
public void testListener() throws InterruptedException {
MyRabbitListener myRabbitListener = this.harness.getSpy("event");
assertNotNull(myRabbitListener);
final String message = "Test Message";
LatchCountDownAndCallRealMethodAnswer answer = new LatchCountDownAndCallRealMethodAnswer(1);
doAnswer(answer).when(myRabbitListener).event(message);
rabbitTemplate.convertAndSend("exchange", "key", message);
assertTrue(answer.getLatch().await(20, TimeUnit.SECONDS));
verify(myRabbitListener).messageReceiver(message);
}
#Configuration
#RabbitListenerTest
public static class Config {
#Bean
public MyRabbitListener myRabbitListener(){
return new MyRabbitListener();
}
}
}
It works ok but when I introduce an Exception being thrown, It doesn't i.e
This works
#RabbitListener(id = "event", queues = "queue-name")
public void event(String message) {
log.info("received message > " + message);
}
This doesn't
#RabbitListener(id = "event", queues = "queue-name")
public void event(String message) {
log.info("received message > " + message);
throw new ImmediateAcknowledgeAmqpException("Invalid message, " + message);
}
Any help appreciated
The LatchCountDownAndCallRealMethodAnswer is very basic
#Override
public Void answer(InvocationOnMock invocation) throws Throwable {
invocation.callRealMethod();
this.latch.countDown();
return null;
}
You can copy it to a new class and change it to something like
private volatile Exception exeption;
#Override
public Void answer(InvocationOnMock invocation) throws Throwable {
try {
invocation.callRealMethod();
}
catch (RuntimeException e) {
this.exception = e;
throw e;
}
finally {
this.latch.countDown();
}
return null;
}
public Exception getException() {
return this.exception;
}
then
assertTrue(answer.getLatch().await(20, TimeUnit.SECONDS));
assertThat(answer.getException(), isInstanceOf(ImmediateAcknowledgeAmqpException.class));
Please open a github issue; the framework should support this out-of-the-box.

Why does the program close immediately after launch?

Please tell me why my program ends immediately after launch. It's a Java Telegram Bot running on my home PC. I created the project using Maven.
MainClass
public class MainClass extends TelegramWebhookBot {
BootConfig cfg = new BootConfig();
public static void main(String[] args) {
ApiContextInitializer.init();
TelegramBotsApi telegramBotsApi = new TelegramBotsApi();
try {
telegramBotsApi.registerBot(new MainClass());
} catch (TelegramApiException ex) {
ex.printStackTrace();
}
}
#Override
public BotApiMethod onWebhookUpdateReceived(Update update) {
if (update.hasMessage() && update.getMessage().hasText()) {
SendMessage sendMessage = new SendMessage();
sendMessage.setChatId(update.getMessage().getChatId().toString());
sendMessage.setText("Well, all information looks like noise until you break the code.");
return sendMessage;
}
return null;
}
#Override
public String getBotUsername() {
return cfg.WEBHOOK_USER;
}
#Override
public String getBotToken() {
return cfg.WEBHOOK_TOKEN;
}
#Override
public String getBotPath() {
return cfg.WEBHOOK_USER;
}
}
BootConfig class:
public class BootConfig {
public static final String WEBHOOK_TOKEN = "SECRET";
public static final String WEBHOOK_USER = "archopobbkbot";
Console output:
Process finished with exit code 0

mock a method calling another method using mockito, powermock

-> controller.java
public controller() {
public controller(DataInterpreter interpret,ControllerClientUtility util, InterfaceConnection inter) {
interpreter = interpret;
utility = util;
interfaced = inter;
}
}
...
public void closeOne(String vpnSessionId) throws Exception {
try{
if ( interfaced.connect() && (interfaced.CheckIntegrity(SessionId)) ){
interfaced.kill(vpnSessionId);
}else{
closeAll();
}
}catch(Exception e){
if ( e.getMessage().startsWith("INTERFACE_ERR:") ){
closeAll();
}else{
throw new Exception(e);
}
}
}
-> methods in InterfaceConnection.java
public String getReponseFor(String command) throws Exception{
if (send(command)){
return receive();
}
else{
throw new Exception("INTERFACE_ERR: Could not get Response");
}
}
public List<String> getListOfConnections() throws Exception{
String statusResponse = getReponseFor("something");
..(regex searches and then make a list connectionsConnected)
return connectionsConnected;
}
public boolean CheckIntegrity(String SessionId){
try {
List<String> connections = new ArrayList<String>();
connections = getListOfConnections();
if (connections.contains(SessionId)){
return true;
}
return false;
}catch(Exception e){
return false;
}
}
Is there a way to mock the output of getListOfConnections ? I tried doing something like this but did not work
-> controllerTest.java
#Mock private InterfaceConnection interfaced;
#Before
public void beforeTests() throws Exception {
MockitoAnnotations.initMocks(this);
impl = new Controller(interpreter,utility,interfaced);
...
#Test
public void testDisconnectOneSessionWithBadSessionId_sendCommand() throws Exception{
String badSessionId = "123:123";
List<String> mockConnections = new ArrayList<String>();
mockConnections.add("asdasds");
when(interfaced.getListOfConnections()).thenReturn(mockConnections);
impl.closeOne(badSessionId);
Mockito.verify(utility)....
}
I hope I'm clear, thanks in advance.

doInBackground() not getting executed when called from test class

I'm very new to writing unit tests in Android.
I have a singleton class as follows
public enum DownloadController {
INSTANCE;
private AsyncTask<?, ?, ?> mRunningTask;
/*
* #param LoginListener
* Request for getting full name of an user.
* */
public void getTrackName(DownloadListener listener){
if(mRunningTask != null) mRunningTask.cancel(true);
mListener = listener;
mRunningTask = new DownloadTask();
try {
mRunningTask.execute();
}catch (Exception e){
e.getLocalizedMessage();
}
}
//Task which gets us the full name of an user
public class DownloadTask extends AsyncTask<Void, Void, String> {
#Override
public String doInBackground(Void... params) {
String trackName;
try {
trackName = getTrackName();
} catch (VolleyError | AuthException volleyError) {
trackName = "error"
}
return trackName;
}
#Override
public void onPostExecute(String name) {
if (mListener != null) {
mListener.onNameObtained(name);
}
}
}
}
For this I have a Test class as follows
#RunWith(PowerMockRunner.class)
#PrepareForTest({DownloadController.class})
#Config(constants = BuildConfig.class, emulateSdk = 19, manifest="src/main/AndroidManifest.xml")
public class DownloadControllerTest {
DownloadController mSubject;
String mTrackName;
#Before
public void setUp() {
mSubject = DownloadController.INSTANCE;
}
#Test
public void getTrackName_test() throws InterruptedException, AuthException, VolleyError {
// execute
final DownloadCallback callback = new DownloadCallback();
mSubject.getTrackName(callback);
callback.blockForResult();
// verify
assertThat(callback.mTrackName, is("Track1"));
}
private class DownloadCallback implements DownloadListener {
CountDownLatch mLatch = new CountDownLatch(1);
String mFullname;
#Override
public void onNameObtained(String fullName) {
mFullname = fullName;
mLatch.countDown();
}
public void blockForResult() throws InterruptedException {
mLatch.await();
}
}
}
Here mSubject.getTrackName(callback); calls the method getTrackName() in DownloadManager.java but new DownloadTask().execute(); is not invoking doInBackground() method in asynTask. This leads test case is in infinite loop.
I think you have to call in your test Robolectric.flushBackgroundThreadScheduler() to execute your asynctask

How to call the websocket server to sends the message to the client in spring

My project uses spring framework

}
}
}
my jsp client
if ('WebSocket' in window) {
websocket = new WebSocket("ws://localhost:8080/Origami/webSocketServer");
} else if ('MozWebSocket' in window) {
websocket = new MozWebSocket("ws://localhost:8080/Origami/webSocketServer");
} else {
websocket = new SockJS("http://localhost:8080/Origami/sockjs/webSocketServer");
}
this is my websocket code and it works well
now I want to send messages to the client in a controller ,this is my controller
#Controller
public class AdminController {
static Logger logger = LoggerFactory.getLogger(AdminController.class);
#Autowired(required = false)
private AdminService adminService;
#Autowired(required = false)
private SystemWebSocketHandler systemWebSocketHandler;
#RequestMapping("/auditing")
#ResponseBody
public String auditing(HttpServletRequest request){
String result = "fail";
int id = Integer.parseInt(request.getParameter("id"));
String reason = request.getParameter("reason");
String title = request.getParameter("title");
String username = request.getParameter("username");
News news = new News();
DateTime dateTime = DateTime.now();
news.setNewsTime(dateTime.toDate());
news.setState(0);
news.setUsername(username);
if(reason.equals("")){
result = adminService.auditingById(id,"Y");
news.setNewsContent(String.format(Constants.AUDIT_MESSAGE, username, title, reason));
adminService.addNewsWithUnAudit(news);
}else{
news.setNewsContent(String.format(Constants.UN_AUDIT_MESSAGE,username,title,reason));
result = adminService.addNewsWithUnAudit(news);
result = adminService.auditingById(id, "D");
}
//SystemServerEndPoint serverEndPoint = new SystemServerEndPoint();
int unReadNewsCount = adminService.getUnReadNews(username);
systemWebSocketHandler.sendMessageToUser(username, new TextMessage(unReadNewsCount + ""));
return result;
}
}
I want to call
systemWebSocketHandler.sendMessageToUser(username, new TextMessage(unReadNewsCount + ""));
to send message to the client but systemWebSocketHandler is null
How to inject the systemWebSocketHandler to the controller
or some other ideas to complete the required? Such as the server connect to the websocketserver when it need to send message to the client and closed when it finished
My English is poor, but I'm trying to learn
I have resolved the problem
#Controller
public class AdminController {
#Bean
public SystemWebSocketHandler systemWebSocketHandler() {
return new SystemWebSocketHandler();
}
