I am trying to use JUnit 5 to test a function inside of an activity in Android Studio using Java, however, I am getting the following error:

I am following online tutorials, but none of them are implementing testing on activities, instead they are simple classes within main.

I am fairly certain some part of the syntax is incorrect, but I cannot find guidance on how to fix it.
The getRandomInteger() function just generates a random integer. It should return false unless I get "lucky" and get the expected number.

By looking at this code:
1.This is using Junit4 & not 5.
2.If you want to use Junit 5, please remove import org.junit.Test; & use import org.junit.jupiter.api.Test;
3.Please correct assertEquals by modifying arguments to method. You might need to use only 2 arguments which are int,int.
4.Regarding stacktrace error, you can refer this link if it helps.

Red herring Elasticsearch error when using multiple data sources with spring-data (such as DynamoDB and ElasticSearch)

(see stack trace below) I had a CrudRepository that was querying by a transient property, and it had a getter but no actual underlying member variable. In my service, I had a call to MyRecordDao.findByMyMemberAttribute() which was where the stack trace originated. This failure was elasticsearch-specific, and I didn't have any problems with my other datastore. I tried annotating the datasource with #Primary, using the #EnableElasticsearchRepositories(basePackages='com.myproject.service'), adding #Transient as an annotation on the getter, none of those worked. I was unable to annotate the getter using #Field as that annotation is only allowed on member variables. Creating an unused member variable and adding that annotation didn't work either.

The offending class is org.springframework.boot.autoconfigure.data.elasticsearch.ElasticsearchRepositoriesRegistrar which ends up pulling in an unqualified #EnableElasticsearchRepositories, which spring-data then tried querying Elasticsearch by my getter, and failed. This gets pulled in by #SpringBootApplication and you will need to modify your annotation on your Application class to:
#SpringBootApplication(exclude=ElasticsearchRepositoriesAutoConfiguration.class)
So far, I haven't found any adverse side effects, but this project is pretty small so I can't speak for many use cases.

I've a maven project with Spring (5.2.11.RELEASE), Hibernate (5.4.25.Final) connected to an Oracle database (19c). I use ojdbc8 (19.6.0.0)

But before I used ojdbc6 and it worked well without error.
I noticed that this error is just into Junit test but not when the application run.

I search everywhere but I can't find anything that can explain that in ojdbc8 it's different than ojdbc6. (I tested ojdbc10 and same result as ojdbc8)
I have the impression that I'm the only one to get that error.

The above is how the credentials file should be defined. You are probably missing that first line. I guess one library expects the credentials file to be defined this way and one does not

NoSuchMethodException when trying to create RequestSpecBuilder object

I'm trying to extend RequestSpecBuilder in Rest Assured and make it into a Singleton so I can front load things like the base uri and pass it around between Scenarios in a Serenity BDD implementation of Cucumber. The basic version (with everything else commented out, is this:

The version if I let it go to the extend version is longer, but ultimately the same cause and process.
The constructor for RequestSpecBuilder is this:
