I am trying to insert a notification type in SharedPreferences which I receive in onMessageReceived as a body part when it gets a notification. And I fetch the value of the notification type on the splash screen after tapping the notification. But I am not able to get it, as the value is always empty.

I want to trigger a Toast if the user come from a Notification click.
But I don't know how to know if a user is coming from a notification click.

Try setting action (say, On_NOTIFICATION_CLICK) using intent_not.setAction()
In Home_Base using getIntent().getAction(), try to get the action from the intent received.
If the action received in Home_Base is On_NOTIFICATION_CLICK then its a notification Click action.
After upgrading my app target api to 27 notification is no more working and i get a toast message on android studio emulator:
Failed to post notification on channel “null”

I'm trying to start an activity by clicking on a notification but that only works when I'm already in the app.
