NoSuchElementException while launching an OSGI framework [duplicate] - java

I am trying to programatically start an OSGi framework (preferably Equinox) from Java and then load up any bundles.
So I was going through this article which says how to do that. But I am getting java.util.NoSuchElementException everytime at the below line everytime
ServiceLoader.load(FrameworkFactory.class).iterator().next();
Below is the code-
import java.io.File;
import java.util.HashMap;
import java.util.LinkedHashMap;
import java.util.Map;
import java.util.ServiceLoader;
import java.util.logging.Logger;
import org.osgi.framework.Bundle;
import org.osgi.framework.BundleContext;
import org.osgi.framework.BundleException;
import org.osgi.framework.FrameworkUtil;
import org.osgi.framework.launch.Framework;
import org.osgi.framework.launch.FrameworkFactory;
public App() {
try {
FrameworkFactory frameworkFactory = ServiceLoader.load(FrameworkFactory.class).iterator().next();
Map<String, String> config = new HashMap<String, String>();
//TODO: add some config properties
Framework framework = frameworkFactory.newFramework(config);
framework.start();
//... some other code
}
}
I am not sure what wrong I am doing here? I am having a maven based project. Below is my pom.xml file for this project-

Service Loader searches the classpath for the interface you have asked for -- in this case FrameworkFactory. To fix it you need to put an OSGi Framework implementation on the classpath.
For example if you choose Felix, make sure that org.apache.felix.framework-<version>.jar is present on the classpath when you launch your application.

Make sure that your import for FrameworkFactory.class is on org.osgi.framework.launch.FrameworkFactory (not org.apache.felix.framework.FrameworkFactory). I ran into this same error (NoSuchElementException), when I broke up the statements the ServiceLoader.load() call was throwing a ClassNotFoundexception. Not sure why the load exception was eclipsed by the next call - but I reverted and confirmed this was happening. Good Luck!

Separate build step for Java file - Maven

Within a larger Maven project, I have a Java file (AudioFileBuilder.java) that generates audio files from the Google Cloud Text-to-Speech service. It can execute from its own main() class; however, this file references an enumeration within the project (that other project source files depend on).
I am creating a fat JAR (JAR-with-dependencies), .exe file (Windows), and .app file (macOS) for the main project. I would like to exclude the AudioFileBuilder.java file AND the associated Google Cloud Text-to-Speech dependency in the JAR, exe, and app files. However, I still need the AudioFileBuilder.java file to run every time the project is built.
Here is a link to my project's current POM file (the project is open-source):

UPDATE:
I divided the project into two separate modules: "audio-builder" & "application" - as suggested by Welsh.
However, I have a Java enumeration ("Phrases.java") that both the audio-builder & application uses. The audio-builder needs this file to know which audio phrases are currently in the program, while the rest of the application needs this to load in said audio files & call the playback of these files.
So, this made me add the "audio-builder" module as a dependency for the "application" module. Since the Google Cloud dependency is needed at compile-time, this means that it is bundled in the generated JAR, app, and exe files.
These changes can be found here: https://github.com/hadi16/GamesForTheBlind/tree/Maven-Fixes

Thank you!
I would recommend that you split your projects into two sub projects, so you would have for example:
games-for-the-blind/
pom.xml
audio-builder/
pom.xml
application/
pom.xml
Then what you can do is have the audio-builder package output the required files into the application/resources directory and have it listed first in the main pom.xml file.
This would allow you to distribute the application resultant files that would not contain any of the details of the audio-builder project.

I am adding Jacoco Maven Plugin in POM file of Apache Tika to get the Code Coverage. But i am facing issues doing so

The Apache Tika Project has a root directory within which there is a pom.xml present. Inside the Root directory there are submodules and module named "Tika-Parent". Inside Parent module there is also a pom.xml file.
Now i am adding jacoco Maven Plugin to Tika to get Code Coverage but i am facing problems because when i add Jacoco Maven Plugin to the Pom.xml in Root Directory. It builds successfully but gives an error :"Skipping JaCoCo execution due to missing execution data file:C:\Users\adity\IdeaProjects\tika-1.20\target\jacoco.exec"
I tried adding JaCOCO Plugin to both the pom.xml files together as well as one by one each also but no result.
Also when I Perform Maven Test on the pom.xml in root directory it builds successfully running all tests.
BUT when I Perform Maven Test on the Tika-parent's pom.xml it doesnt run any tests but builds successfully.
I am attaching below the Pom.xml in root directory as well as pom.xml from Tika-parent module inside the root directory.
I am using IntelliJ Community edition ( latest version on website).
Java version - JDK 8 ,
Maven version 3.
THese details are from Root directory pom.xml

The Jacoco Plugin is present in this pom file too which is same as earlier pom file.
I tried placing in this file and building it. Didnt work. THen tried placing jacoco plugin in Root pom file , didnt work. Gives the same above mentionde error.
Please HELP!!
in my code i insert jacoco plugin in root pom under pluginManagement tag:
<pluginManagement>
<plugins>
<plugin>
<groupId>org.jacoco</groupId>
<artifactId>jacoco-maven-plugin</artifactId>
<version>0.7.9</version>
<executions>
<execution>
<id>default-prepare-agent</id>
<goals>
<goal>prepare-agent</goal>
</goals>
</execution>
<execution>
<id>default-report</id>
<phase>prepare-package</phase>
<goals>
<goal>report</goal>
</goals>
</execution>
</executions>
</plugin>
</plugins>
</pluginManagement>
And in every sub-module where I do unit test I insert the following pom.xml configuration:
<build>
<plugins>
<plugin>
<groupId>org.jacoco</groupId>
<artifactId>jacoco-maven-plugin</artifactId>
</plugin>
</plugins>
</build>
You have to enable jacoco plugin only inside java module where there are unit test.

jboss throws Unmarshalling error: null calling signature validation web service

I send a validation request to a web service of esignature with generated code from the wsdl provided here:
https://ec.europa.eu/cefdigital/DSS/webapp-demo/services/
Wsdl is the SoapDocumentValidationService.
The validation works fine with my tester executing from eclipse and with the validation service runing on an apache-tomcat-8.5.31.
But when I try to run a test from the navigator using a jboss-5.2.0 (with cxf bug solved) to deploy the app, the jboss gives an "Unmarshalling error: null" on the returning xml from the web service, presumably by incompatibility with some library or methods.
The apache doesn't have any errors, and tha validation seems normal there.

Notice that this app HAS to be deployed on a jboss-5.2.0, and that the plugin that generates the code from the wsdl it's the one just below the coment:
"WSDL to Java Plugin" in the pom.xml
I am suspecting about a bug or incompaibility with jboss, or a problem with generation of the code that autmatically assigns names to classes with the same name, but I am not sure and don't know how to solve it either if it's the case.
*If someone wants the full trace of the jboss ask in the coments, the size exceeds the max number of characters allowed here. And sorry for my english.

Lombok and AspectJ

I'm trying to use Lombok in combination with AspectJ and Maven.
So, what's the problem?
When I use the AspectJ Maven Plugin (www.mojohaus.org/aspectj-maven-plugin/), it takes the sources and compiles them and ignores changes made by Lombok. I followed this tutorial and came up with this code and AspectJ works, but Lombok dies with this message:
[WARNING] You aren't using a compiler supported by lombok, so lombok will not work and has been disabled.
Your processor is: org.aspectj.org.eclipse.jdt.internal.compiler.apt.dispatch.BatchProcessingEnvImpl
Lombok supports: sun/apple javac 1.6, ECJ
So, does anyone know how to get Lombok in combination with AspectJ working?
Use ajc to process classes.

Use delombok to generate normal source code. And then proceed as you would if Lombok were not being used.
Store your Lombok-annotated code in main/src/lombok (for example) and then have the delombok plugin convert these annotations into normal code and into the directory /delomboked (for example).
I tried various solutions, finally specifying the javac compiler option like the below one worked
This works for me with command line mvn clean install, but in Eclipse IDE, the problem is not solved, eg. log is not correctly recognized for #Slf4j.

</plugin>
I had a configuration/excludes/exclude section with the spring-boot-maven-plugin where the "aspectjweaver" dependency had been declared. The exclude section had "org.projectlombok" in it, and looks like that's why none of my lombok annotations were being processed while building using "mvn clean install"
I initially had this:
<plugin>
<groupId>org.springframework.boot</groupId>
<artifactId>spring-boot-maven-plugin</artifactId>
<dependencies>
<dependency>
<groupId>org.aspectj</groupId>
<artifactId>aspectjweaver</artifactId>
<version>${aspectj.version}</version>
</dependency>
</dependencies>
<configuration>
<excludes> <!------- THIS IS WHERE my problem started by exluding lombok -->
<exclude>
<groupId>org.projectlombok</groupId>
<artifactId>lombok</artifactId>
</exclude>
</excludes>
</configuration>
</plugin>
When I removed the excludes part, then the build started taking the lombok annotations and worked. This is my section now:
<plugin>
<groupId>org.springframework.boot</groupId>
<artifactId>spring-boot-maven-plugin</artifactId>
<dependencies>
<dependency>
<groupId>org.aspectj</groupId>
<artifactId>aspectjweaver</artifactId>
<version>${aspectj.version}</version>
</dependency>
</dependencies>
</plugin>

After reseach and testing all day, here is my success build.
Main idea is using javac to compile code first (compliance with lombok) and after that use aspectj only for weaving class.

When I am running maven clean install I am getting war-file, which has the next inner structure:
When I deploy this war-file in tomcat, I can access my application by this URL:
http://localhost:8080/ada
(where ada - application name)
so I have tried to access moskito-inspect webui by this URLs:
http://localhost:8080/ada/moskito
http://localhost:8080/moskito
http://localhost:8080/ada/mui
http://localhost:8080/mui
However, tomcat response for all these links in 404 [Not found].
What am I doing wrong, may be someone faced the same problem?
Thanks in advance
I have figure out that you should add to your web.xml Moskito filters configuration - like in this article.
But author also said in this article that
With version 2.4.0 and servlet spec 3.0 no changes of the web.xml are
needed.
That's why I ignored that guide - very misleading advice!
